Frogs Legs anyone?!

Do u know what to look for when finding fresh seafood? Lesson of the day. #lotd. Seafood!

I went inside one of Flints prominent fish markets, Donlans, today in the hopes of finding an amazing catch! If you've ever met Mr. Donlan you know he's a fish man by nature and only brings in the best.

How do u know if fish is fresh?
Look for bight clear eyes. Dull eyed fish are safe to eat but way past their prime. Next check for dull or discolored patches. Noone wants an ugly dry fish, right? Now, if possible, smell the fish. If its smells like fish...you dont want it. Fish should never smell "fishy". It should smell like clean water, briny or even like cucumbers. Buying fillets make sure if there is any liquid its clear and not milky.

While eyeballing his walleye I caught a glance of these succulent little guys... Legs of bull frogs. I've never had them, but I've heard the taste just like chicken. Todays the day i conquer that myth. Mr. Donlan gave me a recipe too...
Here's my version:

2 adult sized bull frogs legs. (frozen) if you can find fresh go for it!!Enough flour to DREDGE (to coat an item of food in flour or bread crumbs prior to cooking it.) the frogs legs. Your favorite oil.1 small onion. Your favorite mushrooms(6 ounces)2 Tablespoons of butter 4 garlic cloves (minced) Juice from 1/2 a lemon.

Dredge the legs in flour. In a ALREADY HOT pan, add a small amount of oil. Cook the legs until they are brown on all sides.

Add the garlic, onion and mushrooms and cook until soft. That'll probably be amount 5 minutes.

Drain the juice and add the butter and the lemon juice until it thickens into a creamy sauce.

An Voila!! Froms legs

Although I dont think they taste like chicken they are AWESOME, quick and inexpensive!!
