Stick with me and you'll never go hungry again!!

Instant potatoes got nothing on the original!!!
Peel the skin off of your potatoes. You can use multiple different kinds of potatoes, russet, purple, Yukon gold, Idaho etc...

Potatoes grow out of the ground and peeling them is not a substitution for cleaning. Wash your potatoes then cut them into uniform sized pieces.

Place your potatoes in already boiling water and boil until fork tender. Time depends on the thickness and type of potato. Mine cooked for 18 minutes.

Overcooking your potatoes with make them mushy and your mashed potatoes will now be soup.
Drain all the water and add milk, salt and pepper, and butter. I always estimate these amounts, starting with a small amount and adding more if needed.

If you dont have a potato masher no problem, you can use a fork, a whisk, or even the bottom of a jar or cup.

Smash and mix your potatoes until they're the consistency you like. Lumpy? Smooth? Whats your favorite way to eat them??

I like mine with pork chops!!!
